Well, I think that the word “engineering” involves a concept which is in a constant evolution seeing that times are changing and circumstances too.
I think that the meaning of engineering for Leonardo Da Vinci, for the American Engineer´s Council for Professional Development and for the CEO of Boeing Aircraft Company is in basic the same because it´s all about “Find solutions to problems to fulfill necessities” although they think in the same way they belongs to different ages which means different circumstances.
While Leo in the 16th century was thinking and working in heavy armored machines or helicopters just to satisfy the will of the kings in war without thinking about efficiency or low costs the ECPD in the 60´s was thinking about efficiency and low cost regardless the environment while modern companies like Boeing, Airbus, BMW and others have to think about everything mentioned above and the environment too even if it’s a small or large project without mentioning the economical, social, political and cultural effects within. All this is because the world is changing to good, to bad, to bad for good or to good for bad… who knows?
An engineer have to achieve a high level of moral values such as honesty, respect, responsibility, justice and others. This is because moral values is more important than all the math he can learn or the technical skills he can gain during his preparation, the base for a good understanding is moral values whichever scenarios we talking about and whoever we dealing with.
I think that these things we call values should always have to be great and should not be modified doesn´t matter whichever age we talking about or under any circumstances.

As an engineer, which now I am on my way to achieve that goal, justice, responsibility, respect, honesty, solidarity and integrity, they are all values which contributes to the formation of a good Engineer. We should then ask the following questions: what is good? What is right or wrong? Am I a good Engineer if I comply with the job that the company pays me to fulfill? Am I good enough if I stole information from my teammates or other company and make the project as my own? Am I good if the material I use to build a device is toxic either for the nature or living beings? Am I good enough if I let my teammates do all the work while I receive the trophy? Would I be good enough if I decide to split from my engineering team and reveal the team project to the new team I am joining in? These questions comes to answer the different values that is described within the literature of "Creating the engineer I would like to be". We need to have the sense of justice, and always settle the correct way to do within work. We also need to be responsible to our tasks and teammates. We need to respect our group members, the people who invested on the project, and the user of the product. We need to be honest to our managers, teammates, the users, and the investors, so there is always mutual understanding in between. Solidarity and integrity are both crucial, because we should always cooperate and be faithful to our group and the project manager, therefore being united is always important in order to accomplish the job within given time and budget. In other words, we need to mingle our ethical decision making with our ethical behavior, and balance our obligations with the obligations of the organization and the community that the organization exist within.

It is not right to steal the idea, writting, formula, or sketch of another person, because it is not fair for the person who created or made research. In most countries around the world and according to the international law, it is a crime to plagiarise.

As a future engineer, the first thing is to mature as a person, to respond to my duties, I believe that the key to success lies in being honest with one yourself, because a person without honesty is a miserable person, without values. I think that other values that can be added are freedom, unity, friendship, loyalty, cooperation, perseverance and peace, which would complement the degree of a moral person
In our life there is nothing but important that the values these help us to define the type of people that will be in a future.

I consider that the values are important not alone for the engineer if not for all the people, since with this we determine the quality of our lives.
An engineer has to achieve a high level of moral values as honesty, of the respect, of responsibility, of the justice and of other. This is because the values of the moral are more important than all the math he can learn or the technical abilities that can win during his preparation.
TASKS:
1. What do the above moral values mean to you?
The values are qualities of the actions, of the persons, of the things, who make them attractive
2. Think of specific scenarios where you usually practice the mentioned values.
The values one practises them from small, in the daily life by means of the educations of Our parents
3. If you consider necessary think of any other moral values you can add to the given list.
Justice, loyalty, freedom, we know of entry what we want to say with each of them and that is not the same thing to speak about the justice that to speak about the elegance, which they are two values but with a different content
